For those wishing to see the gorgeous colours, stripes, spots, fringes and striking forms of Nudibranchs in their natural habitat, this Scuba Doctor Guided Dive is for you. More than a hundred species of these elusive butterflies of the sea have been identified at Blairgowrie Pier on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia.
Tours begin with your friendly and highly experienced guide preparing you for the guided dive with information on the marine life you can expect to encounter, plus getting you kitted up with any hire gear (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, cylinder and/or weightbelt) you may need.
Then you'll travel to nearby Blairgowrie Pier where the pylons and sea wall are completely covered in colourful Sponges, Ascidians, Algae and Kelp, and home to Nudibranchs, Crabs, Sea Stars and Tube Worms. While exploring the pier, you might also see Tasseled Frogfish, Seahorses, Shaws Cowfish, Spider Crabs, Stingarees, Cuttlefish, Pipefish, Fiddler Rays, Smooth Stingrays and numerous reef fish. Blairgowrie Pier is also a great night dive. Under torch light you will see numerous Nudibranchs, Octopus, and sometimes Stargazers and Skates.
The Scuba Doctor can offer morning, afternoon and night guided dives to see Nudibranchs in the Southern Waters of Port Phillip!. For date and time availability please call on (03) 5985 1700. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred dates.
