The Cressi MC9-SC / XS Compact Pro Regulator Set combines a Cressi MC9-SC balanced diaphragm DIN or Yoke first-stage regulator with a Cressi XS Compact Pro second stage regulator and a regulator hose.
Cressi has continued to refine the design of its aptly named Compact, which uses a plastic that conducts heat like metal, boosting cold-water performance while reducing weight. This latest version, which has an environmentally sealed first stage, is one of the driest regs in both upright and head-down positions. Its Venturi control — well-marked and mounted on top where it's easy to see and access — is among the best at stopping free-flows. The Cressi XS Compact Pro is an extremely lightweight second stage which makes the reg essentially weightless underwater, translating into zero jaw fatigue and great for second-stage comfort.
Great for cold/temperate water diving.
This high-end Cressi regulator package, with its environmentally sealed first stage, has been designed for the more extreme diving environments, but it's equally suitable for warmer waters. This regulator set delivers outstanding flow rates and superior resistance to freezing, plus it's extremely comfortable to use, all essential qualities for any regulator to be used in cold and temperate waters, or overseas.
This premium travel regulator packs maximum performance into minimum space. A true featherweight second stage, the XS Compact Pro is built from lightweight techno-polymers to eliminate jaw fatigue. Easy to pack and easy to dive, the XS Compact Pro includes dive/pre-dive Venturi switch for managing freeflow and maximising performance at depth. It's perfect if you're looking for a combination of performance, reliability and low maintenance costs.
The Cressi MC9-SC / XS Compact Pro Regulator Set features a really tiny, lightweight second stage, which is easy on the jaw, plus its paired with an environmentally sealed MC9-SC (sealed chamber) first stage rated for cold-water use. We like the large, soft, easy-touch purge cover, and a Venturi switch that's well marked and located on the top of the mouthpiece, where it's easy to reach and operate. It's very good for ease of breathing in a swimming position, for dry breathing in normal positions, and for ease of clearing. On the ANSTI testing machine, the Cressi XS Compact Pro's performance is rated very good at max recreational depth and good down to 60 metres.

Cressi MC9-SC First Stage Regulator
The 1st stage MC9-SC is identical to the MC9 model, but with a special Seal Chamber which completely isolates the diaphragm and spring from contact with water. This makes it ideal for diving in waters that are rich in suspension and mineral salts, e.g. for archaeological work, cavern, scallop/cray, and diving in cold waters.
Hyper-balanced Diaphragm 1st stage with highly technological content that places it at the top of the Cressi range.
Very light body covered by a protective elastomer shell.
Cylinder sheathed in an anti-friction and anti-corrosion material that guarantees perfect sliding of the piston and long maintenance intervals.
The nozzle, made from 316 stainless steel, can be easily replaced, thus ensuring perfect air-tightness, even after many years of use.
Advanced research on the passage of internal air and a special assistance chamber have enabled the drop of pressure upon inhalation to be kept to a minimum, thus guaranteeing high performance in any situation.
Hyper-balancing allows for an increase of the intermediate pressure at maximum depths and lowering of the pressure in the tank, offering higher performance during the delicate ascent phase and at maximum depths.
DIN 200/300 bar fitting in stainless steel which prevents deformation of the thread in the event that the regulator suffers any falls.
