The T-Wing was nearly the lightest BC in our test—no surprise, given its narrow aluminium back-plate, simple harness and snug-fitting wing. It was also the only wing we tested without integrated weights. The result was a little grousing about weight belts, and a lot of praise about the T-Wing's you-hardly-know-it's-there feel and profile in the water. "Compact and light," noted one tester. "Streamlined as a fighter jet," another added. It was rated excellent both for streamlined profile and comfort, with relatively thin but effective padding on shoulder straps and back-plate. It was rated very good for stability and attitude control, though some testers found it took a bit of dialling in to get trim just how they wanted it. Easily customisable and suitable for a wide range of diving—including air travel—the T-Wing shows the flexibility and versatility offered by a backplate/ wing design. The Rite-Tite buckle is a 2-position cam strap for quick and easy adjustment. While the strap is being looped through the buckle, the buckle stays in place without needing to be held. This allows for more control and stability. This feature is part of all TUSA BCJ's. The Harness waist strap comes equipped with a latch-style stainless-steel buckle and the included crotch strap prevents BC ride-up when diving and on the surface.

The TUSA T-Wing BCD provides 12.25 kg (27.0 lb) of lift and has a dry weight of 3 kg (6.6 lb). The inner bladder is made from 210D Nylon with urethane lamination and radio frequency welded seams for airtight integrity and the outer bladder is tough 1000D Cordura fabric. Buoyancy is controlled by TUSA's patented O.P.E.V. quick inflate/deflate system. A signal whistle comes attached to the inflation hose for added dive safety. Trimming buoyancy is easy with 2-dump/overpressure relief valves. BCD comes with an owner's manual and a 3/8-inch threaded low-pressure (LP) inflator hose.
