Gear Keeper Compass Retractor for Suunto SK7 or SK8 Compass

The Gear Keeper Suunto Compass Retractor quickly converts the wrist strap mounted SK-7 or SK-8 diving compass into a retractor compass easily attached to your BCD. The retractor can quickly be extended up to 81 cm (32 inches) keeping your Suunto compass easy to hand and secure while you dive.

Alternative to wearing your diving compass on your wrist. Keeps it protected and close to your body. Underwater navigation was never easier with this handy retractor mount for Suunto SK7 and SK8 wrist strap compass modules.

The retractor can either be unclipped or extended whilst attached to your BCD. The stainless steel cable is nylon coated to prolong the life of the item in salt water and has a 27.2 kg (60 lbs) breaking strength to prevent accidental loss.

The Gear Keeper Suunto Compass Retractor has a patented flushing system. Sand or debris are flushed out of the retractor during normal use.

At one end is a Tongue that goes through the base of the Suunto compass where the wrist strap was. At the other end is your choice of a stainless steel Spilt Ring to easily attach to your BCD, or a plastic Snap Clip to attach to a D-ring. The Quick Connect retracting end means you can easily disconnect the compass and retractor from the attachment point when required.

Fits the Suunto SK7 and SK8 diving compasses with rubber wrist strap mount only. Not suitable for Suunto Bungee Mount compasses.

Now Suunto no longer offer this combination worldwide, but you can now purchase the retractor as a Gear Keeper item and turn your Suunto SK-7 or SK-8 wrist strap compass into a retractor compass.

Installation Instructions: Remove rubber stop located at the end of strap. Pull strap out of Suunto compass module. Slide compass onto bracket tongue. Push until boot engages ridge.
