The Sonar Low Pressure (LP) Apeks/SeaQuest Inflator/Octopus Quick Disconnect Adaptor (Male) to 9/16 inch UNF (Female) Adaptor is used to connect an Apeks/SeaQuest compatible low pressure BCD/Jacket/Inflator/Octopus quick connect hose to a standard second stage regulator. Typically used to add a quick-disconnect to most any regulator or full face mask.
Connects an Apeks/SeaQuest and compatible combined BCD/jacket/inflator/octopus quick disconnect LP hose a standard second stage regulator.
This adaptor allows a diver to plug a second stage regulator into the rebreather manual addition hose to allow access to the on-board gas supply. Typically the adaptor would be used to gain access to the on-board oxygen but could be used for access to diluent as well.
The reason this adaptor connects to an Apeks/SeaQuest type integreated octopus/inflator quick disconnect hose is because this type of hose can supply enough gas. Using a standard inflator quick disconnect and a standard inflator hose will not supply adequate gas if the diver is deeper than 6 metres (20 ft).
This male end of this adaptor connects to the non-standard outlet on a Apeks Octo Plus, SeaQuest AirSource (including 1, 2 and AirSource3 QD), Zeagle Octo-Plus, Aqualung Air Mic, Mares Air Control, Beauchat Venturi, US Divers Air Mic, Oceanic Air XS, Aeris AirLink and compatible BCD/jacket/inflator/octopus quick disconnect low pressure hose.
The 9/16"-18 UNF Female end of this adaptor accepts the standard 9/16"-18 UNF Male connector on most second stage regulators.
- One Apeks/SeaQuest Inflator LP Quick Disconnect Adaptor male to 9/16"-18 UNF female outlet
- Durable marine grade chromed brass construction
- Low pressure only - below 200 psi
- Factory cleaned - Nitrox ready
This adaptor (LH-A) combined with a standard regulator hose and a Sonar 9/16"-18 UNF Male to Apex/SeaQuest Ocy Inflator Adaptor (AH-02) can be used to create a quick disconnect setup for a standard second stage regulator. This is typically used by technical and rebreater divers, especially in sidemount and rebreather setups.
