Apeks XTX50 Regulator Set - DIN or Yoke

This regulator set combines an Apeks XTX50 Primary Regulator with an Apeks XTX50 Second Stage Regulator to deliver effortless air delivery in all diving positions. Technical divers often use a pair of these regulator sets for their twin-cylinder setup or just a single regulator set for each of their stage cylinders.

If you want XTX200 performance but are looking to save some cash, then the Apeks XTX50 just might be made for you. Excepts for some cosmetics, the second stages are virtually identical, with the same right/left reversibility, efficient user adjustments, choice of exhaust tees and Comfo-Bite mouthpiece.

The big difference is the first stage. The Apeks XTX50 first stage, while environmentally sealed like the Apeks XTX200, also offers a rotating low pressure (LP) port turret with a new fifth LP port perched on top. The rotating LP turret makes hose routing even easier. This is why the Apeks XTX50 regulator set is the #1 choice for many technical divers for their twin-cylinder setups.

The Apeks XTX50 2nd stage has a larger purge button which is easier for diver use and also offers a dual flow rate purge for different operations. Apeks have also redesigned the diver adjustable controls with improved ergonomics on the venturi lever and the Cracking Resistance Control. Every aspect of the new Apeks XTX50 has been thought about to bring the whole unit together so that it not only performs exceptionally well but also looks great.

The Apeks XTX50 2nd stage is now manufactured with active protection against infection as all moulded parts are made with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E-Coli, bacteria and fungi and is also very effective against viruses, mould, yeast and algae.

Imitation is, of course, flattering and there are copies of Apeks equipment. The Apeks XTX50 second stage regulator can be converted from a right-handed hose configuration (as supplied from the Apeks factory) to a left-handed one. This feature is known as the Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Changing the regulator to a left-handed configuration is both quick and simple and can be performed by any Apeks Authorised Service Technician, including The Scuba Doctor.

The Apeks XTX50 second stage regular incorporates the Diver Changeable Exhaust system (DCE) that gives divers the ability to change from the larger exhaust tee (supplied as standard) to a smaller version. The wider exhaust tee is good for minimal bubble interference (essential for underwater photography) and a narrow exhaust tee offers a smaller, more compact regulator (also ideal for use as an octopus).

The Apeks XTX50 2nd stage regulator incorporates a two-shot high strength composite front cover, improving the durability of the most vulnerable part of the demand valve. The ergonomic Venturi lever of the Apeks XTX50 has been designed to reduce the amount of grit ingress which in turn gives constant, smooth operation. A new silicone exhaust valve has been used on the Apeks XTX50 regulator improving breathing performance.

A new swivel hose connection is available at an extra cost. This allows the demand valve end of the hose connection to rotate and pivot, providing a more comfortable fit.

All new Apeks XTX regulators are supplied as standard with flexible, light-weight hose.
