Established in 1988, Sonar Wetsuits of Australia quickly grew to become Australia's leading scuba diving wetsuit manufacturer. It built the world's best and most durable wetsuits. When you see old file footage around water on Australian TV, 99% of the time they're in a Sonar Wetsuit.
Later Sonar started importing and wholesaling masks, fins, snorkels, knives and a wide range of other diving products with great success. However, overseas competition forced the end of wetsuit manufacturing in July 2013 and the business was sold.
While Sonar's local wetsuit manufacturing operation is closed, the new owners are continuing the Sonar import and wholesale operations. The range of Sonar high-quality products has been expanded.
Sonar is now a related business to The Scuba Doctor dive shop. We know, use and highly recommend Sonar scuba diving equipment.
